ICARIA Final Event

We’re delighted to invite you to #ICARIAeu’s Final Event, taking place on Friday, 13th March 2026, at the Barcelona School of Civil Engineering – UPC, with the option to attend both on-site and online.

ICARIA is a Horizon project developing innovative tools to assess and strengthen resilience against climate risks like droughts, heatwaves and floods. By using advanced asset-level modeling, it helps communities understand climate impacts and implement cost-effective adaptation strategies to protect against these extreme weather events.

🗣️This final event will showcase key outcomes of the #ICARIA project and will include:

🔸Tool demonstrations from the three pilot regions in Barcelona Metropolitan Area, Salzburg Region and the South Aegean Archipelago

🔸Keynote speech by Francisco Espejo, Assistant Director from @Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros, on the damages caused by the DANA event in Valencia

🔸Round table discussion with experts and stakeholders

🔸Visit to the UPC Hydraulics Laboratory (for on-site participants)
